Cannery Inn - Salish is one of 4 rooms for rent in the Cannery Inn building. The Salish room is ideal for guests seeking outdoor activities, shopping, dining and everything else the island has to offer. Also perfect for the boater who wants to regain their land legs, as the stairs down to the Port of Friday Harbor are only a few yards away.

This unit is equipped with a water boiler and instant coffee, microwave, mini fridge, full bath, queen bed, Wi-Fi and flat screen TV. Guests are also welcome to relax and take in the magnificent water views from the common deck area. There is a smaller deck area attached to the unit, shown in the photos and is attached to the guest-viewing deck. For groups larger than 2, please contact San Juan Property Management for booking additional units.

Downtown Friday Harbor is one short block away from the Cannery Inn. Guests can take a short stroll down the hill to visit some of Friday Harbor's best coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks.

This property is Adults ONLY. No Pets. Quiet time is from 9 Pm to 9 Am.
This unit does not have a kitchen or kitchen items available.
This building does not have Air Conditioning.
This property does not have laundry facilities and does not offer daily housekeeping services or refill of check-in snacks.

  The location could not be better, but the view of the harbor is the highlight. Watching fireworks from the balcony was simply the best. We could have sold tickets to the balcony and probably should have! The room is fairly small, the bed creaks, and few amenities. Still, the location and view are second to none in Friday Harbor.

  Nice, convenient, clean place to stay in Friday Harbor. There was no air conditioning, but the room ventilated pretty well with the window and doors. The patio seating had a great view of the harbor and other islands. The only issue was that the walls were a bit thin, but there were provided earplugs, and nothing was loud enough to interrupt our sleeping. We would definitely look in to staying here again.

  Stayed here for July 4th and it couldn’t be a more perfect spot to enjoy the long weekend. The room is small and the walls are not exactly soundproof but we didn’t mind too much since we spent most of the day exploring the island anyway! Fireworks were amazing to watch from the balcony!

  Location was easy to find. Convenient and walking distance to all the shops/restaurants. Room was clean but a bit small. We didn’t open the doors since it was a bit chilly.   The Cannery House Inn far exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck is outstanding, the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The check-in was a breeze too. You can’t beat the location - such an easy walk to town, restaurants, shops, and groceries. The Cannery House Inn also provides a refrigerator and microwave making it convenient to not waste leftovers.
  I highly recommend The Cannery House Inn. We would definitely book there again in the future.

  It's a short jaunt up the hill from the ferry dock - far enough away from the main drag to be quiet but close enough to walk anywhere downtown. The space was clean and simple - plenty for our short stay. And the deck and view were INCREDIBLE! The staff was fantastic (thank you Audrey) - super responsive and accommodating. We will be back.

  My husband and I stayed here on a recent weekend trip to the San Juans when we didn't want to bring our car. This place was easy to get to and convenient to walk to the waterfront or restaurants and back without issues. It was great to have the common deck available for sitting with a snack/coffee or playing a game on a lazy afternoon.
  
  As others have mentioned, you can definitely hear the other guests through the wall (very thin walls!) but we didn't have a rowdy bunch so that was fine. The room itself was small-ish, but was clean and bright, and had all the needed amenities. We wished the shades blocked out more light at night, though.
  
  My main complaint is that the property management company had very generic instructions for checking in/out and several procedures there didn't really apply to this property. It would be nice if they updated their instructions to be a little more clear, particularly with *where* the main entrance to the property is, and where you put in a code. We had to help out another couple who was confused as well, so I suspect this is a common issue. Just customizing the info a bit for the property would make the instructions 100% better.

  This is an amazing location. We really enjoyed the deck overlooking the harbor. And proximity to restaurants and shops was perfect. Hairdryer was a plus! Room was clean and plenty of extra linens.   Friday Harbor was a lovely place to vacation over the July 4th weekend. This location is close to all the food and rental/excursion companies in town. It looked brand new inside and out and decorated in neutral, calming gray tones. Only thing we missed was AC. There's a great breeze, but being in Salish, our French doors opened to the shared deck and our window was by the sidewalk with no screen. It was stuffy coming back to the room after a day of excursions or dinner.
